I recommend booking as soon as you have your wedding date and venue confirmed, especially for peak wedding season dates as availability can fill quickly. At Ellen Lily Artistry, we take on bridal bookings 18 months in advance.
Once I have recieved your completed bridal enquiry form, I will send over the next steps by email. Please check your spam and junk folder if you haven’t heard from me. All bridal enquires will be responded to within 48 hours.
I will be in touch around 9 months before your wedding date to arrange your bridal trial for 6 months prior to your wedding. This is a perfect time to book in your trial as you will most like have chosen your dress, decided on hair accessories or veil and have some inspiration of the hair and makeup look you would like to achieve.
Depending on the hairstyle you have chosen, hair extensions may also be a great option for you to add length and thickness to your look. Please bring these with you to trial along with your hair accessories. I would also recommend wearing a white top that has a similar neck like to your dress to give you the best representation of how your hair and makeup will look on your wedding day.
I use a variety of professional, long-lasting products chosen specifically to ensure your makeup looks beautiful both in person and in photographs.
Yes, your bridal makeup is designed to be long-lasting, comfortable and camera ready. A mini essential touch-up kit is also provided to ensure your makeup stays looking perfect for the rest of your day.
Your bridal hair and makeup usually takes around 2.5–3 hours. A personalised timeline will be created once we’ve met at trial and all finer details of your wedding morning have been confirmed.
1. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is only confirmed once:
• A completed booking form has been received, and
• A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit has been paid.
The booking fee secures your date and is deducted from the final balance. Without payment, the date remains available to other clients.

2. Payment Terms
• The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the wedding date.
• Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of services without refund of the booking fee.
• Payment can be made via bank transfer unless otherwise agreed on cash. Cash must be handed over in a sealed envelope before services begin on the wedding morning.

3. Deposits / Booking Fee
• All booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.
• This covers the reservation of your date and time, which cannot be offered to other clients.

4. Cancellations by Client
If you cancel your booking:
• The booking fee will not be refunded.
• Cancellations made within 12 weeks of the wedding date will be subject to a cancellation fee. 25% of the overall balance will be requested if cancellation is 12 weeks and under prior to the wedding day. 50% of the overall balance will be requested if cancellation is 4 weeks and under prior to the wedding day. 75% of the overall balance will be requested if cancellation is 2 weeks and under to the wedding day. Sent by bank transfer.

5. Cancellation by Artist
In the unlikely event that Ellen Lily Artistry must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances:
• A full refund of all payments made will be issued, including the initial booking deposit.
• An effort will be made to recommend a suitable replacement artist for the wedding day.
No further liability will be accepted.

6. Amendments to Booking
• Changes to the number of people, services, or timings must be confirmed in writing however once I have sent over your confirmation email after trial, no amendments can be made to your booking.
• Significant changes may result in price adjustments or availability issues.
• Bridal party size changes may require additional artists or time adjustments. You can upgrade your booking with me once confirmation has been sent via email but your chosen package and size of bridal party booking cannot be downgraded after trial.

7. Travel Charges
Travel is charged as follows:
• 60p per mile (calculated return journey from my home address)
• 1hr and 30 minutes travel time is included in each package however any additional travel time is charged at £30 per hour and £15 per 30 minutes.
• Travel is charged to cover fuel, vehicle use and time.

8.Early Starts & Additional Timing
• Early morning bookings and unsociable hours may incur an additional fee.
• Wedding mornings that require the artist to leave before 5.30am will be charged at an hourly fee of £50 per hour.

10. Parking & Additional Costs
• Any parking fees, congestion charges, tolls, or accommodation costs must be covered by the client.
• These additional charges will be added to the final invoice.

11. Trial Sessions
• Trials are recommended for bridal services but are optional. All of the bridal packages include a 2hr makeup or hair trial and 4hr hair and makeup trial depending on the package you choose.
• Trials are a preview of your bridal look. They are not to trial several different hair or makeup looks. Please come prepared to trial with photos, chosen accessories and hair extensions if needed.

12. Health, Hygiene & Safety
• All tools and products are sanitised between clients
• The artist reserves the right to refuse service if unsafe or unhygienic conditions are present
• Clients must disclose any allergies or sensitivities prior to services

13. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for:
• Providing a suitable space with good lighting and access to electricity
• Ensuring the bridal party is ready at the agreed time
• Communicating any changes as early as possible
Delays caused by the client may affect the schedule and could result in additional charges.

14. Photography & Marketing
• Ellen Lily Artistry may take before/after images for portfolio and marketing use
• By securing your deposit with me, you have agreed to my terms and conditions and consent is given for all use of photos I take throughout your wedding morning.
• Photos may be used for marketing and advertising purposes including social media platforms.

15. Liability
• The artist is not liable for allergic reactions where products have been used appropriately and allergies were not disclosed
• The artist is not responsible for damage caused after services are completed
• All services are provided with professional care and skill

16. Force Majeure
Ellen Lily Artistry is not liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
• Extreme weather
• Accidents
• Illness
• Transport disruption
• Government restrictions
